The golden voice of the Sulphur HS Golden Tors since 1980, Bruce has done play-by-play on the HS, college (McNeese State) and professional level since 1974…Has been P.A. announcer for McNeese (6 sports over the years) since 1988…In all of this time, he has covered over 1,000 games, has spoken over 100,000,000,000 words and might have consumed over 16,000 press box hot dogs…Is used to dealing with hot dogs, having worked with Clopha Boudreaux and Ron Hayes throughout the years (and his station, KEZM, carries the ultimate hot dog:  Jon Fine and Monday Morning Quarterback)…Has made it through the 80’s oil crunch, Hurricane Rita, Harry Ladas and the late Ed Prendergast…Biggest long-term obstacle Bruce is working to overcome is being an avid fan of the Astros and Saints (pre 2009, of course)…Argument as to who is the best looking McNeese State pbp announcer of all time—Bruce or Jon—rivals NBA argument of Russell vs Chamberlain…Has owned KEZM since 1998, providing the Lake Area with its only sports-talk station…If you’re old, you remember Bruce as a popular morning drive announcer at Q101…Grew up in Vinton, LA…Has beautiful daughter, Kristen, affirming the miracle of genetics…Might be most eligible bachelor in all of Southwest Louisiana since Jon Fine left town…Again, the old Russell-Chamberlain debate comes to mind!
