Chris Gordy
Messed up the SportsGumbo.net line-up of celebrity wannabees by having same first name as Chris Ledoux. Tried futilely to convince Chris to change his first name to keep our sportscasters unique first names intact…Thus, his name, in SportsGumbo.net circles is Chris G…Thought long and hard about becoming Chris Ocho Cinco…A New Orleans native…2007 graduate of LSU with a degree in journalism…Chris has hit the ground running in the media world (unlike some of this colleagues on SportsGumbo.net whom hit the bottle stumbling). He produces the Jordy Hultberg show on The Score, 1210AM (constantly asking Jordy to be fixed up with a Golden Girl or Honeybee). Chris also hosts his own show, “The Morning After” (with former LSU quarterback Marcus Randall as co-host), Sunday mornings on 1210AM…Serves as senior sports writer for Tiger Weekly in Baton Rouge…Contributes to Tiger TV’s sports programming on Cox 4…Former Sports Director at 91.1 KLSU—LSU’s campus station…All of this means that by the time he’s 30, Chris might be replacing Mike Tirico on Monday Night Football…Or, he’ll be a derelict like most BR sportscasters when they turn 30!..A self-proclaimed tailgating expert from the high school to the professional level, Chris enjoyed the transition from Live Oak HS (pbp on SportsGumbo.net in 2008) to Denham Springs HS broadcasts in 2009, although be bemoaned the absence of the home-made food he consumed in the Live Oak press box.
Chris Gordy is the sideline reporter for the Denham Springs HS football broadcasts on The Score, 1210AM, Fox Sports Radio, Baton Rouge and on the Internet at SportsGumbo.net.
