Plaquemine Sports Weekly is on the air! Debuting on May 4, 2010, Plaquemine Sports Weekly may be heard Tuesday mornings between 8am-9am (central) on KKAY Radio, 1590AM, River Parishes/Baton Rouge. Our program can also be heard on the Internet at SportsGumbo.net.

Hosted by Plaquemine HS Athletic Director/Head Basketball Coach Denny Wright along with St. John (of Plaquemine) Athletic Director/Head Football Coach Tut Musemeche, Plaquemine Sports Weekly affords area sports fans with an extensive look at the athletic programs at both schools.  Interviews with coaches from both PHS and St. John are featured weekly on the program.  Sports stories from the city of Plaquemine are also covered.  And with the knowledge and loquacity of these 2 successful veteran Louisiana coaches, strong, well-founded opinions and banter on a wide variety of high school sports issues also highlight the program.

Plaquemine Sports Weekly is a Jon Fine Sports Production.  Jon also produces high school sports programs for Denham Springs HS—The Dru Nettles Show and Central HS—The Sid Edwards Show. He also is the play-by-play announcer for Denham Springs HS sports and produces broadcasts for Denham Springs HS, Central HS and Episcopal HS.  These programs can be heard on a variety of radio stations.
